Our story

One community.
No one forgotten.

We Are One exists to make sure Jewish families across South Florida can meet life’s hardest moments with nourishment, tradition, and dignity intact.

Who we are

Care that sees
the whole person.

For more than two decades, We Are One has served as a trusted Glatt Kosher food bank for the Jewish community of South Florida.

Our work began with a simple belief: when one family is struggling, the whole community has a responsibility to respond. That response starts with food, but it reaches much further. A well-stocked pantry can bring stability to a household in crisis. A holiday meal can restore a sense of belonging. A respectful welcome can remind someone that asking for help is not a loss of dignity.

We support Holocaust survivors, single mothers, widows, older adults, orphans, abused children, individuals with special needs, and working families whose income no longer covers the essentials. People come to us with different stories, but each is met with the same compassion and discretion.

A legacy of nourishment

Since opening our doors, We Are One has provided more than two million pounds of food to about twenty thousand families throughout South Florida.

Behind every pound is a person, a family, and a moment when community made all the difference.

We do not only fill shelves.

We help families feel steady,
seen, and connected.

Food insecurity can touch a family at any stage of life. We Are One is here so a difficult season does not become one faced alone.

Why kosher care matters

Nourishment that honors
the whole person.

For the families we serve, kosher food is an essential part of daily life, identity, and spiritual wellbeing.

We maintain a Glatt Kosher standard so clients can receive support without compromising the traditions that connect them to family and community. Donations help provide fresh produce, quality meat and dairy, nonperishable staples, and the foods that make Shabbat and Jewish holidays feel complete.

This is dignity in practice: care that recognizes not only what a family needs, but who they are.

Our mission

To nourish South Florida with compassion and trusted kosher care.

We work to provide fresh produce, quality meat and dairy, nonperishable staples, household essentials, and holiday-specific foods to families who need support.

Maintaining a Glatt Kosher standard is central to that promise. It means a family never has to choose between receiving help and honoring the traditions that shape their home.

Help carry the mission forward
